She founded India's first Tissue Bank at Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai in 1988. She has held several leadership roles in healthcare and organ transplant coordination, notably serving as the first Director of the Regional and State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organisation (ROTTO-SOTTO) for the Western Region and Maharashtra.
